Welcome to Schroeder Publishing and Wargames (SPW)
We publish a series of historical simulations known as the ‘Der Weltkrieg’ (German for ‘The World War’). These simulations allow players to place themselves in the roles of supreme commanders of forces during campaigns that occurred in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East from 1900 to the present.
The games are designed for new-comers to the hobby of wargaming. It makes the history of the period come alive as you see the possibilities and realities of the situation, and are faced with the decisions that faced the historical commanders. The rules are direct and to the point, with ample diagrams and examples explaining the basic rules.
A current list of planned games can be found on our Planned Games Page. The games of the series that are currently available are 'The Schlieffen Plan', 'Tannenberg: Eagles in the East', 'Galicia: The Forgotten Cauldron', 'Serbia/Romania' , 'Gorlice-Tarnow/Brusilov Offensive', each of these games can be linked with the others in the series to form larger games.
